This is a shop tool, not a part that stays on the bike. It threads into the timing hole so you can find true top dead center by feel, which matters for setting ignition timing accurately rather than relying on timing marks alone.
The current number is 61-7022A, and it replaced the earlier 61-7022. It also shows up under the older 14-K490 designation. If you've got a parts book listing any of those numbers, they all point to the same tool.
