REAR BRK.HOSE 79-83 T140
Rear brake hose for the T140 disc-brake models, 1979-83, factory PN 60-7233 (later 60-7233A).
This is the rear brake hose for the T140 line from 1979 through 1983, part number 60-7233, later reissued under 60-7233A. It's the flexible line that carries hydraulic fluid from the rear master cylinder back to the rear caliper on the disc-braked OIF Bonnevilles and TR7s of that era.

By the late '70s Triumph had moved to a disc rear brake on these models, and this hose is armoured construction, meaning it's got a wire braid or wrap over the rubber line to protect it against chafing and to keep it from swelling under pressure. Since this is a hydraulic system, any hose here has to be in good shape with no cracks, weeping, or soft spots — a failing rear brake hose is not something to put off replacing.
If your parts book lists this under 60-7233A, that's the same physical part under its later factory number, so either number should get you the right hose. Give us a call if you're not sure which caliper style your bike carries before you order.
