This is the clutch lever, steel, listed under Triumph part number 60-3144 (older parts books show it as D3144). It's part of the handlebar controls assembly, mounted alongside the other levers and switches near the fuel tank end of the bars.

The catalog record puts this lever in the 1971–1972 range across the parts books we've checked. The factory later superseded this number with 60-3994, so if you're chasing a replacement and see that number cross-referenced, it's the same lever under a later part number.
