BSA Split pin — quadrant plunger spring (3/32" × 5/8")
A split pin, 3/32" x 5/8", that secures the quadrant plunger spring in the gearchange mechanism.
This is a small split pin used in the gearchange mechanism, specifically to secure the quadrant plunger spring. It shows up in the inner timing cover figures where the gearchange quadrant lives, and its job is simply to keep the plunger spring assembly from walking out of place as the mechanism cycles.
