Vent pipe clip
A small clip that secures the battery vent pipe, also listed under the older D981 number.
This is the vent pipe clip, part number 60-0981, which shows up in the parts books under the older D981 designation as well. It's a small piece of hardware that holds a vent pipe in place, and it appears in catalog listings tied to the electrical equipment area as well as the exhaust system side covers and battery figure.

Given where it turns up in the books, this clip is doing battery vent duty rather than anything to do with the exhaust pipes themselves — the exhaust figure title here is really about the side cover and battery layout, not the header pipes. It's the kind of small clip that's easy to lose track of when a bike's been apart a few times, so it's worth checking that yours is still present and holding secure.
Our catalog record for this one runs from 1968 to 1971, but we don't have enough here to pin it to one specific model. If you're not sure this is the clip your bike needs, give us a call and we'll sort out fitment before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
