TACHO CABLE 1964-5 T120,BSA A65 (Magnetic)
Magnetic-drive tachometer cable for 1964-65 T120 and BSA A65 twins, running from the tach head to the exhaust-cam drive.
This is the tachometer cable for the early unit-construction Triumph twins that ran the magnetic-drive Smith's rev counter, cross-referenced under BSA A65 as well since both makes used the same drive at the time. It runs from the tachometer head down to the drive unit at the end of the exhaust camshaft, since these engines took their tach signal straight off the cam rather than through a separate gearbox on the crankcase.

The magnetic-drive setup this cable serves is not the same as the later chronometric rev-counter arrangement, so don't try to swap this cable between the two systems. If your parts book lists this under the older SCM003 designation, that's the same cable under its earlier catalog number.
We don't have extensive notes on this one beyond the catalog listing, so if you're not certain which tach drive your bike has, give us a call before ordering.
