Box spanner for sparking plug
The box spanner for pulling the spark plug, originally supplied in the Triumph toolkit.
This is the box spanner for the sparking plug, part of the toolkit that Triumph supplied with the bike rather than a piece of the motorcycle itself. It's a tubular wrench sized to fit down over the spark plug and its cap, letting the rider pull the plug for cleaning or a look at the electrode without dragging out a full socket set on the side of the road.

It shows up across the toolkit and pillion footrest/licence holder figures in the parts books, which is where Triumph kept the tool roll contents listed alongside the frame lock and other kit. The legacy number D87 is the same tool as this current PN 60-0087, so if your parts book lists one or the other, you're looking at the same part.
If you're restoring a toolkit or filling in a bike that's missing its original roll, this is the piece that covers spark plug removal. Since it's called out across so many catalog years, it's a good bet to have a spare kicking around the bench as much as in the bag under the seat.
