Timing pointer
Ignition timing pointer that fits through the alternator inspection cover on the primary chaincase.
This is a small ignition timing pointer, sometimes called a timing pin, that fits through the removable alternator inspection cover on the primary chaincase. It gives you a fixed reference point so you can line up the rotor markings when setting ignition timing without having to pull the whole cover off.
