Rubber – shock absorber
Rubber shock absorber insert for the clutch/primary drive shock absorber assembly, also known as T4324.
57-4324 is a rubber shock absorber piece that lives in the clutch/primary drive assembly, as shown in the parts book figures for the primary transmission and oil pump drive and the clutch shock absorber setup. Its job in that assembly is to cushion the drivetrain against the sudden loads that come through when the clutch engages or the engine sees a harsh throttle change, so the rubber takes the shock instead of the gears and shafts.

This part also appears under the older T4324 number, which is just the legacy letter-prefix form of the same piece as it would show up in an earlier parts book. Catalog records place it across appearances running 1971 to 1974, but we'd rather you check your own parts book or call us to confirm which clutch shock absorber assembly your machine uses before ordering, since rubber components like this wear and get swapped out over time.
If you're rebuilding a clutch shock absorber assembly, it's worth having a look at the condition of this rubber piece even if it's not the part you called about — deteriorated rubber in this spot can show up as clutch chatter or drivetrain snatch.
