Keeper plate
A keeper plate from the gear cluster and timing cover assembly, also known by its earlier T2107 part number.
57-2107 is a keeper plate that shows up in the gearbox side of the engine, in the gear cluster and timing cover area. Its job is to hold something in place inside that assembly - typically a bearing, bush, or the cluster itself - so it doesn't walk under vibration or shaft movement. Older parts books list this same piece under the T2107 number, so if you're working from an early manual and see that reference, it's the same part.

The catalog record ties this one to gear cluster and timing cover figures across appearances from 1968 through 1971, but we don't have anything more specific on which model or engine it's paired with beyond that. If you're not sure it's the right one for your setup, bring in the old part or give us a call and we'll sort out fitment before you order.
Keeper plates like this are simple pieces, but they matter - if it's worn, bent, or missing, whatever it's meant to be holding can shift out of position and cause bigger problems down the line.
