Adaptor, long (For cable with ‘short’ outer cover)

Long adaptor for clutch cables with a short outer cover, fitted at the gearbox outer cover.

PN · 57-2063

57-2063 is the long adaptor used where a clutch cable with a 'short' outer cover meets the gearbox outer cover. It's a small fitting, but it's the piece that takes up the slack between how much outer cover the cable has and where the cable end actually needs to land at the box, so the adjuster and cable can seat correctly.

You'll find it listed in the gearbox outer cover and lever figures in the parts books, alongside the other gearbox outer cover hardware. The older book number for this one is T2063, and it also shows up under 06.6978 in some catalog listings — all the same physical part.

If you're rebuilding the clutch cable setup at the gearbox end and your cable has a shorter outer cover than stock, this is the adaptor that bridges the difference. Worth having the old one on hand to compare length and thread engagement before ordering, since adaptors like this are easy to mismatch with the wrong cable length.
