Pinion sleeve
Gearbox pinion sleeve for the kickstart gear area, later superseded by 57-1963.
This is the pinion sleeve out of the gearbox, listed in the parts books under GEARBOX SHAFTS AND GEARS. The catalog also shows it turning up on the kickstart gear side of the box, so it's doing duty as a bearing surface or spacer for one of the gearbox shafts rather than anything to do with the engine's main pinion.

If you're working from an older parts book you may see this one listed as T1338 - same physical part, just the pre-metric-number style of writing it down. Triumph later revised this part and superseded it with 57-1963, so if your book or a supplier lists 57-1963 instead, that's the current version of this same sleeve.
Our catalog record ties this part to gearbox work spanning the early '60s. Before you order, check which sleeve your box actually needs - there's a companion part (57-1962) that gets used alongside the current 57-1963 version, so if you're rebuilding the kickstart gear area it's worth confirming you've got the right pairing.
