Tab washer mainshaft nut
Tab washer that locks the mainshaft nut inside the gearbox, also known by its earlier T732 part number.
57-0732 is a tab washer that locks the mainshaft nut in place inside the gearbox. It shows up in the parts book under the older T732 designation as well, so if you're working from an early manual and see that number, it's the same piece. The catalog lists this washer across the gearbox shafts and gears figures as well as the gearbox shafts, bearings and inner cover figure, which tells you where it lives - down in the shaft assembly, keeping the mainshaft nut from working loose once it's torqued down.

A tab washer like this does its job by bending a tab into a slot or flat on the shaft or housing, so the nut can't back off under vibration. Once it's been used and bent over, it's not something you want to reuse - a fresh one is cheap insurance against a nut walking off inside the box.
This part turns up in a long run of catalog entries spanning 1960 through 1971, so it's been in the gearbox lineup for a good while. If you're not sure whether your box takes this exact tab washer versus a later variant, bring in your parts book or give us a call before you order.
