Bulb holder.
A Lucas-style bulb holder for instrument or tail lamp bulbs, used in speedometer, tachometer, and tail lamp assemblies.
This is the bulb holder that carries the little instrument bulb inside the speedometer or tachometer housing, and it also turns up in tail lamp assemblies on the same catalog pages. It's a small electrical fitting, not a switch or a lens, just the piece that grips the bulb and gets it wired into the harness so the gauge face lights up at night.

Our records show it appearing across a run of speedometer, tachometer, and tail lamp figures through the mid-to-late 1960s. If yours has gone brittle, cracked, or the bulb won't stay seated, that's the usual reason to replace one of these rather than the whole gauge or lamp unit.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond what the catalog shows, so if you're trying to match it against a specific gauge or lamp assembly, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
