CONDENSER 58-62 18D2 DIST

A condenser sits inside or alongside the distributor and works with the contact breaker points to keep the ignition circuit from arcing across the points as they open and close. A worn or failing condenser is a common cause of hard starting, weak spark, or points that burn out fast, so it's a part people often replace along with a points service.
