Rubber grommet
A rubber grommet used at coil, distributor, and contact-breaker wiring points on Triumph ignition systems.
This is a rubber grommet that shows up in the electrical figures around the ignition coils, distributor, and contact breaker on Triumph twins from the catalog's 1960 through 1968 span. It is a small piece of hardware, but it does real work — sealing off a lead or wire pass-through point so moisture and grit stay out of the electrics under the timing cover or around the coil mounts.

You will see this same part number turn up across several different figure titles - timing cover and contact breaker, ignition coils and horn, distributor and coil - which tells you it is a common item used at more than one point in the ignition wiring rather than a single dedicated fitting. The older alias number 391-54949011 is the legacy form of this same grommet.
Because it is a simple rubber piece, wear and hardening over the decades is the usual reason to replace it. If your coil leads or wiring look like they are sitting loose where they pass through a cover or bracket, this is worth a look.
