Because it lives inside the primary chaincase, it doesn't take much abuse once the clutch is assembled, but it's exactly the kind of small part that walks off during a clutch strip-down or gets replaced with the wrong thread by mistake. Worth having a couple on hand before you open up the primary side.
Our catalog record ties this to clutch and primary cover work across appearances from 1969 to 1971. If you're not sure this is the exact screw your clutch assembly calls for, give us a call before ordering.
