BSA Gearbox sprocket (17 teeth)
A 17-tooth gearbox sprocket, part number 41-3092, for the final drive chain on the gearbox mainshaft.
This is a gearbox sprocket with 17 teeth, part number 41-3092. It sits on the end of the gearbox mainshaft where the final drive chain picks up power and sends it back to the rear wheel. The tooth count matters here - swapping to a different count changes overall gearing, so if you're chasing a specific ratio, count the teeth on what you've got before ordering.

The catalog places this part alongside the oil pump in the gearbox area, which is normal - these two live close together in the parts books even though they don't interact directly. Our records show it appearing across catalog entries from 1969 to 1970, but we don't have enough here to say which specific models used it.
If you're replacing a worn or chipped sprocket, check the mainshaft splines and the chain wear at the same time. A tired sprocket often means the chain's not far behind it, and running a new sprocket against an old stretched chain just wears the new one out faster.
