BSA Stop, kickstart quadrant
A small stop that limits the travel of the kickstart quadrant gear inside the gearbox.
This is the stop for the kickstart quadrant, the small piece that gives the kickstart gear its limit of travel inside the gearbox. When you swing the kickstart lever down, the quadrant gear rotates through its arc and this stop keeps it from overtravelling and jamming or slipping past its working range.

It lives inside the gearbox internals, right alongside the kickstart quadrant itself, and shows up in the parts book under both the gear cluster listing and the footstart and footchange listing since the kickstart mechanism touches both areas. It's a small part but an important one for the kickstart action feeling right and not grinding or hanging up.
Our catalog record for this one spans appearances from 1969 into 1970. If you're chasing this down for a rebuild, have your gearbox open and compare the old stop against the new one before you commit, since kickstart quadrant setups did change over the years and you want to be sure the geometry matches your particular box.
