Spring
A small internal spring used in Amal Monobloc carburetors, part number 4/148.
This is the small spring used inside the Amal Monobloc carburetor, part number 4/148. It shows up across a wide run of Amal carburetter figures in the catalog, covering models like the 3TA, 5TA, T90, T100 in its various forms, the 6T, T110, TR6, and the T120 Bonneville family. It's a simple internal spring rather than a major assembly, but it's the kind of small part that's easy to lose track of when a carb gets stripped down for a rebuild.

Given how many carburetter figures list this same number, it's clear this spring was used consistently across Amal's Monobloc line through the 1960s. If you're rebuilding a Monobloc and something in there isn't returning or seating the way it should, a tired or missing spring in this position is worth checking.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond it being cataloged as "Spring" in the Amal carburetter figures. If you're not sure which spring position in your carb this corresponds to, bring in your parts book or give us a call and we'll sort it out before you order.
