Throttle return spring
Throttle return spring for the Amal Monobloc carburetor on the 3TA and 5TA, closes the throttle slide when you release the twistgrip.
375/079 is the throttle return spring for the Amal Monobloc carburetor as fitted to the 3TA and 5TA in the mid-1960s. This is the spring that pulls the throttle slide back down and closes the throttle when you let off the twistgrip cable - if it's weak, broken, or missing, the throttle can hang open or feel sloppy on the return.

It sits inside the carb body around the throttle slide, under the top cap, so getting to it means pulling the cap and slide out of the mixing chamber. It's a simple wear item but an important one - a carb that doesn't snap the throttle shut on its own is a safety issue, not just an annoyance.
Our catalog record ties this one specifically to the 3TA and 5TA carburetor figures from 1964 to 1966. If you're working on a different model with a Monobloc, check your own parts book listing before ordering to make sure the spring rate and dimensions match your application.
