Mixing chamber cap

Amal carburetor mixing chamber top cap for the 3TA and 5TA carb setup.

PN · 375/065

This is the mixing chamber cap for the Amal carburetor fitted on the 3TA and 5TA, the top cover that closes off the carb body above the throttle slide and needle. It's an Amal part, not a Triumph-made piece, though it shows up in the Triumph parts books because that's where the carburetor lives on the bike.

The cap sits on top of the mixing chamber and gives the throttle cable and slide assembly somewhere to seat, keeping road grime and moisture out of the top of the carb. On these Monobloc-style carburetors the cap threads or clips down and is usually held with a separate securing ring, so when you're pulling the carb apart for cleaning or a slide/needle swap, this is one of the pieces you'll have off.

Our catalog record ties this specifically to the 3TA and 5TA carburetor figure across the mid-60s appearances we have on file. If you're not sure this is the exact cap your carb needs, give us a call before ordering and we'll confirm fitment against your carb body.
