PLATE-REAR CALIPER
The mounting bracket that holds the rear disc brake caliper in place on later Triumph twins.
This is the rear caliper mounting plate, 37-7020, the bracket that carries the rear brake caliper and locates it against the swingarm or frame mount at the back of the bike. It shows up in the REAR BRAKE section of the parts books, which tells you it's part of the rear disc brake setup rather than an earlier drum system.

The plate itself doesn't do the stopping - that's the caliper and pads - but it's what holds the caliper square to the disc so the pads contact evenly. If yours is cracked, bent, or has worn or elongated mounting holes, the caliper can shift under braking, which shows up as uneven pad wear or a caliper that drags.
Our catalog record spans 1976 to 1979 across the entries we have on file, but we'd rather you confirm fitment against your own bike before ordering than guess off a year range alone. Bring in your old plate or give us a call and we'll match it up.
