BRAKE LINKAGE SET 8 INCH TLS FRONT - TRIUMPH 1969-70 - STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel brake linkage set for the 1969-70 Triumph 8 inch twin leading shoe front drum brake.
This is the linkage set for the 8 inch twin leading shoe front brake used on Triumphs in 1969-70. The set is made up of stainless steel, which means you won't be fighting rust and pitting on these little rods and levers the way you would with the original mild steel pieces after decades of sitting in a damp garage or getting rained on.

The TLS front brake linkage connects the two brake shoe operating arms on either side of the front drum so that a single cable pull actuates both leading shoes together. If your linkage is worn, bent, or seized up from age, the drum won't apply evenly and you'll feel it in the lever.
The alternate number RS049 refers to this same set, in case that's what's printed in your parts book or on an old invoice. Since we don't have extensive fitment notes on file beyond the 1969-70 TLS application, give us a call if you want to double check before ordering.
