LEADING BRAKE SHOE c/w LINING
Leading front brake shoe with bonded lining for the drum front brake on T110, TR6 and T120 models, also known by the older W1337 reference.
This is the leading brake shoe with lining fitted in the front drum brake assembly, listed for the T110, TR6 and T120 in the parts books from the early 1960s. On a twin-leading or single-leading shoe front drum setup the leading shoe is the one positioned so the drum's rotation tends to self-servo it into the drum, giving stronger initial bite than the trailing shoe on the same wheel. This part comes complete with the friction lining already bonded or riveted on, so it is a ready-to-fit shoe rather than a bare shoe casting.

The older book reference for this part is W1337, so if you are working from an early parts list you may see it under that number rather than 37-1337 — they are the same physical shoe.
Drum brake shoes wear as a pair with their opposite number in the same drum, and the lining condition should be checked against drum diameter before fitting a new shoe. If you are unsure whether your front hub takes a leading or trailing shoe in this position, check the figure for your specific wheel before ordering.
