This is the plunger assembly for the Amal MKII carburetor's manual cold-start (choke) system. It's the part that gets pulled to enrich the mixture for starting on a cold engine, working off a cable-operated lever rather than an automatic mechanism. The kit is new production, made to fit and interchange with the original factory piece.

One assembly covers one carburetor, so if your bike runs a pair of MKII carbs you'll want two of these to do the job on both sides.
Our older records show this part under 99-7076 before it was renumbered to the current 2622/079 - worth knowing if you're trying to match up a part sitting on the bench with what's listed in an older parts book.
