Stud - sump plate to frame
Stud that secures the sump plate to the frame on oil-in-frame Triumph and BSA twins and triples.
This is the stud that holds the sump plate to the frame on the oil-in-frame Triumph twins and triples. Since the frame itself doubles as the oil tank on these machines, the sump plate at the bottom seals off the oil reservoir, and this stud is one of the fasteners clamping that plate in place. It shows up in the parts books under FRAME as well as the oil and breather pipe figures, since it sits right where the oiling system meets the frame structure.

It's a small piece but it does real work keeping the sump plate sealed against the frame, so a stud that's stripped, corroded, or missing threads is worth swapping out rather than fighting with. The catalog lists it across oil-in-frame Triumph and BSA production from 1971 into the 1980s, so it's a long-running part across that era of frame design.
Also listed under 21.2109 and S2109 if you're cross-checking an older parts book or a different catalog format. This one is cheap enough to keep a couple of spares in the drawer, since it's not the kind of thing you want to run short on mid-job.
