STUD-FORK LEG BOTTOM 1970-78 (UNF thread)
Fork leg bottom stud that clamps the axle cap or spindle cap to the base of the fork leg, UNF thread.
This is the fork leg bottom stud, 21-2102, the stud that lives at the base of the fork leg where the spindle cap or axle cap bolts on. It's threaded UNF and it's the piece that clamps the axle carrier or conical hub bracket down solid to the bottom of the fork slider.

The catalog carries this stud across oil-in-frame twins and triples through the 1970s, showing up with both conical hub and disc brake forks depending on the year of the bike. It's a small part but an important one for keeping the front end tight - a stripped or worn stud here means the axle cap isn't clamping the way it should.
If you're pulling the front end apart for a service, it's worth checking these studs for thread wear or corrosion before you put things back together, and it doesn't hurt to have a spare or two on hand since they're easy to lose track of in a parts tray.
