Nut Exhaust pipes to cylinder head
Nut for securing exhaust pipes to the cylinder head, also used as a general fastener elsewhere on the bike.
This is the nut that holds the exhaust pipe to the cylinder head, part number 21-0778, also listed under the older S778 designation. It's a small, plain-looking fastener but it does an important job, clamping the exhaust pipe flange tight against the head so you don't get an exhaust leak or a pipe working loose over time.

It turns up across a wide range of catalog listings, showing up in exhaust system and exhaust pipe figures as well as some electrical and instrument figures where it's used as a general-purpose fastener rather than anything exhaust-specific in those spots. Given how many places it appears in the parts books over the years, this looks like a nut Triumph used in more than one application, not just at the head pipe.
It's inexpensive and easy to lose track of in a parts drawer, so it's worth grabbing a few when you're doing exhaust work or a general fastener refresh. If you're not sure this is the exact nut called for on your bike, give us a call and we'll check the fitment before you order.
