High-tension lead grommet
A rubber grommet that protects the high-tension lead where it passes through sheet metal.
PN · 19-865 / 421554
This is a high-tension lead grommet, a small rubber piece that seals the hole where the HT lead passes through sheet metal on its way to the coil or magneto. Its job is to keep the wire from chafing against a raw metal edge and to keep the hole from letting in water and road grit at that point.
