"O"-ring, carburetter flange
An O-ring seal for the carburetor mounting flange, keeping the joint airtight against unmetered air leaks.
This is an O-ring that seats between the carburetor and the intake flange, sealing the joint so the engine doesn't pull unmetered air past the mounting face. It shows up in the carburetor and air cleaner section of the parts book, which is where you'd expect a flange seal to live.

A leak at this joint shows up as a lean-running or hard-to-tune engine, since any air sneaking in past the flange throws off the mixture the carb is trying to set. It's a small, cheap-to-overlook part but worth checking whenever a carb comes off for cleaning or rebuild.
Our catalog record only ties this one to a single year listing, so if you're matching it against an older or different-vintage machine, best to confirm the flange dimensions match before you order.
