Bolt - guide plate
A guide plate bolt used in cylinder head and gearbox outer cover assemblies on unit-construction Triumph twins.
14-6103 is a guide plate bolt that shows up across several different catalog areas on the unit-construction Triumphs, including the cylinder block and head assembly and the gearbox outer cover. It's a small fastener, but it's the kind of part that's easy to lose track of when an engine or gearbox is apart, so it's worth keeping a couple on hand.

The catalog entries span appearances from the mid-1970s into 1980, turning up in cylinder head work on TR7RV and T140 figures as well as gearbox outer cover listings. Because the same bolt part number gets used in more than one assembly, don't assume the one you pulled off your bike is interchangeable with every other 14-6103 listing without checking the actual figure for your model and year.
If you're rebuilding a top end or gearbox and come up short a bolt, this is a cheap one to grab a spare of. Bring in your old bolt or the figure page if you're not sure which spot it goes back into.
