NUT 1/4 UNF THIN
A 1/4 UNF thin nut used at several points across the wheel, suspension, and engine fitting areas of the catalog.
This is a 1/4 UNF thin nut, a small fastener that shows up all over the catalog rather than being tied to one specific job. Ed's records have it turning up on swinging fork and suspension hardware, on several versions of the front wheel assembly, around the battery and toolkit area, and even on the cylinder block and footrest fitting figures. It's a general-purpose thin nut in the 1/4 UNF thread that Triumph used in a handful of different spots on the unit-construction twins and triples.

Because it appears across so many figures, don't assume this is a one-job part. If you're chasing down a specific fastener on your bike, check the parts book diagram for your exact model and year to confirm this is the nut called out at that position before you order.
Given how often a nut like this walks off into the grass or gets swapped for whatever was in the coffee can, it's worth keeping a few of these on hand.
