Unit fixing bolt (2 in. U.H.)
A 3/8 UNF, 2 in. under-head fixing bolt used to mount the rear suspension units.
This is the fixing bolt that secures the top or bottom of the rear suspension unit, 2 in. under the head, in 3/8 UNF thread. It shows up across a long run of catalog years, and it's one of those small parts that's easy to lose track of when you're pulling the shocks off for service.

The figure listings for this bolt cover swinging arm and suspension unit assemblies, along with centre stand and rear brake control areas, so it's doing mounting duty in the rear end hardware rather than anywhere up front. Given how many years and figures it appears in, this is a bolt that got reused across a broad slice of the unit-construction lineup.
If you're replacing shock mounting hardware, it's worth grabbing a couple of these rather than reusing tired originals, especially if the threads or head are showing wear. Check your parts book figure against ours if you're not sure which mounting point you need it for.
