Norton Nut, valve lifter (1/4" British Standard Cycle)

This is a small nut used with the valve lifter arrangement on the cylinder head, cut to a 1/4 inch British Standard Cycle thread. The catalog places it under the cylinder head and exhaust pipe figures, so it's a fastener that lives up top on the motor where the valve gear and exhaust hardware come together.
