Norton Distance piece — stator (Use only with RM20/21 alternator)
A stator distance piece for use only with RM20/21 alternators.
This is a distance piece for the stator on RM20/21 alternator setups. It's a spacer that sets the stator in its correct position on the crankcase mounting so the rotor and stator clear each other properly inside the primary chaincase area.

The catalog notes this one is meant to be used only with the RM20/21 alternator, so before you order, check which alternator is actually on the bike. Swapping in a distance piece meant for a different alternator series can throw off the air gap between rotor and stator.
Our record shows this part turning up across catalog entries from 1971 to 1973, though the figure titles it's filed under are a mixed bag — mudguards, cylinder head/rockers, and crankcase/timing gears/oil filters — so we can't tie it to one specific model or engine family from what we have on file. If you're not sure this is the right distance piece for your charging system, give us a call and we'll sort out fitment before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
