Circlip
A gudgeon pin circlip that retains the piston pin in the bore, part number WE479.
WE479 is a circlip that lives in the piston/gudgeon pin area, keeping the pin captive in the piston so it can't work sideways and score the cylinder wall. It shows up across the catalog under the CYLINDER AND CRANKSHAFT and CRANKSHAFT AND CONNECTING RODS figures, which is where you'd expect a wrist pin retainer to be filed.

It's a small, cheap-to-overlook part that does a big job. When a circlip lets go or gets reused past its prime, the pin can walk out and take the bore with it, so this isn't one to skip when you've got a piston out.
Our records show this number appearing repeatedly from 1960 into 1970, but we don't have a specific model tied to it in the catalog data. Bring in your piston or give us a call and we'll confirm you've got the right one before you order.
