Smallend bush
Smallend bush for the connecting rod's little end, where the piston pin rides.
This is the smallend bush, the part that sits at the top of the connecting rod where the piston pin (gudgeon pin) passes through. It's a bearing surface for the little end of the rod, letting the piston pin rock as the piston moves up and down. The catalog places it right in the crankshaft and connecting rod assembly.

Our record on this one is thin - it shows up once, tied to a single year in our files. We don't have more detail on it beyond that, so if you're chasing this for a specific engine, give us a call and we'll work through fitment with you before you order.
Bushes like this wear over time and get reamed or replaced when a rod is rebuilt, so it's a normal service item on any engine that uses this style of connecting rod.
