SOLO SUSPENSION UNIT
A solo-spec rear suspension unit listed in the swinging fork and suspension section of the parts books.
SB4/259 is listed in the parts books as a solo suspension unit, appearing in the swinging fork and suspension units section for the rear end of the bike. This is a rear shock/damper unit rather than anything to do with the front forks, and the catalog entry marks it out as a solo-seat spec item rather than the sidecar version some machines were fitted with.

The manufacturer tag on this one shows up in our records as Amal, but Amal is a carburetor maker and has nothing to do with rear suspension units, so that tag is almost certainly wrong for this part. We don't have a confirmed maker to give you in its place.
Our catalog data only ties this part to a couple of appearances across a short early-1960s span, and doesn't spell out which specific model or models it was fitted to. If you're trying to match this against your bike, give us a call and we'll work through fitment with you before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
