Spring washer
A general-purpose spring washer used throughout Triumph assemblies, later superseded by 60-4250.
A spring washer, catalog number S26-2, one of those small hardware pieces you find scattered all through a Triumph parts book. This one turns up in a huge range of assemblies over the years - crankcases, chainguards, mudguards, exhaust brackets, speedometer and tachometer mounts, panels, tanks, and more. It is not tied to one job on the bike; it is the general-purpose spring washer the factory called out wherever a fastener needed one under a nut or bolt head to keep it from working loose.

Our records show this number was later superseded by 60-4250, so if your bike or parts book lists that number, it is the same physical washer under a newer factory designation.
Given how many different figures this part shows up in, it is worth double-checking which fastener you are matching it to before you order, since spring washers can look interchangeable but the sizing calls for care depending on the bolt or stud involved.
