Norton Tensioner Backing Plate, Thin
A thin-style tensioner backing plate for the timing gear area of the engine.

NMT2218 is a tensioner backing plate, the thin version, from the timing gear side of the engine. It sits behind the chain tensioner mechanism in the crankshaft, connecting rod, piston, camshaft and timing gear assembly, giving the tensioner blade a solid surface to bear against as it takes up slack in the timing chain.
