This is a Tri-Spark ignition coil built for 6 volt systems, oil filled, and 40mm in diameter. It's a modern-manufacture replacement coil rather than an original Triumph or Lucas part, and it's meant to drop into a 6 volt electrical setup where the stock coil has given up or is due for a swap.
