HEAD LAMP SHELL TRIUMPH 7 INCH 60-67 LUCAS - Ammeter Only
7-inch Lucas-style Triumph headlamp shell drilled for ammeter mounting, 60-67 catalog listing.
This is the 7-inch headlamp shell for Triumph twins, the housing that holds the headlight unit itself and carries the rim on the front of the shell. This particular version is drilled for an ammeter, so it's meant for bikes that carry that instrument mounted right in the shell rather than in a separate nacelle or on the fork top.

The catalog lists it for Triumph machines built in the 60 to 67 range, and it comes up under Lucas in our records, which tracks since Lucas supplied the electrical fittings for these bikes. It also carries an older part number, 99-9968A, which the shop's records show as superseded by this current 99-9968 - if your parts book or an old box of spares shows that A-suffix number, it's the same physical shell.
We don't have extra detail beyond what the catalog states, so if you're not sure whether your bike takes the ammeter-hole version versus a plain shell, give us a call before you order and we'll sort out which one you need.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
