A Veglia-made MPH speedometer head listed in 1979 Triumph parts records, later superseded by 06-5638.

The speedometer head is the instrument itself, the dial and needle assembly mounted in the cluster, driven off a cable from the gearbox or front wheel drive. It gives the rider a road speed reading and usually carries the odometer as well.
The catalog shows this part number was later superseded by 06-5638. If your parts book lists either number, they refer to the same physical component, so check which one your supplier has in stock. As always with instruments, confirm the drive and mounting match what's on your machine before ordering.
