622/147 Drain plug

Float bowl drain plug for Amal Concentric carburetors, catalog number 622/147, later superseded by 622/155.

PN · 99-1152
Superseded by 622/155.

This is the drain plug for the Amal Concentric carburetor float bowl, listed in the catalog under the number 622/147. It threads into the bottom of the float bowl so you can drain fuel out of the carb without pulling the whole bowl off, handy when you're laying the bike up or need to check float height without making a mess.

Our records show it turning up in figures for the TR7RV and T140V carburetor setups, including the Mk I Concentric versions, across catalog listings from the mid-70s into 1980. The factory later replaced this part number with 622/155, so if you're working from a newer parts book and can't find 622/147 or 99-1152 listed, that's why.

If you're pricing a full carb rebuild or gasket kit, it's worth checking whether your bowl is still fitted with the earlier drain plug or the later 622/155 version before you order.
