Left-hand headlamp mounting bracket for the telescopic front fork, part number 97-4162 (also H4162).
This is the left-hand headlamp mounting bracket, part number 97-4162, also listed under the older H4162 designation. It shows up in the telescopic front fork section of the parts books, where it bolts to the fork and holds one side of the headlamp shell in place.

Catalog appearances run from 1971 to 1973, so it's a bracket you'll see turning up on machines from that stretch of years. Since it's the left side specifically, don't try to swap it with its right-hand counterpart — they mount differently and aren't the same casting.
