Distance piece, headlamp bolt
Distance piece (spacer) fitted on the headlamp mounting bolt, part 97-4125.
This is the distance piece that sits on the headlamp mounting bolt, a small spacer that keeps the headlamp shell and ear brackets set at the right distance apart when the bolt is drawn up tight. It's a simple stamped or turned piece rather than anything mechanical, but skip it and the headlamp mount can bind, wobble, or sit crooked in the ears.

In our records it shows up under the HEADLAMP AND FLASHER LAMPS figure for 1980, and it carries the older 6.23 reference alongside the current 97-4125 number. It's a cheap enough part to keep a couple of spares of in a drawer since it's easy to lose or leave out on reassembly.
We don't have a lot more written down on this one beyond the figure it appears in. If you're not sure it's the right spacer for your headlamp bolt setup, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
