DUST COVER OIF TRI/BSA - EMGO TAIWAN - SOLD AS PAIR

Rubber dust cover/scraper pair for OIF Triumph and BSA front forks, keeping grit off the fork seals.

PN · 97-4002
Also available from 2 sources:

This is the pair of fork dust covers for OIF-era Triumph and BSA forks — the rubber boots that fit over the top of the fork lowers where they meet the fork tubes. They act as scrapers, keeping road grit and grime from working its way down into the fork seals every time the forks compress. Catalog listings show this part number appearing across telescopic front fork sections from the early '70s into the late '70s, consistent with the oil-in-frame Triumph/BSA chassis.

Sold as a pair since a bike needs one on each fork leg. The legacy number on this one is H4002, and it's also cataloged as 45-39661, so if your parts book uses either of those older forms, this is the same physical item.

These are wear items — rubber perishes, cracks, and stops sealing over the years, and a torn dust cover does the fork seals underneath no favors. If your forks are leaking oil or the boots on there now are cracked and hardened, this is a cheap thing to check before blaming the seals themselves.
