Grip, left hand

Left hand rubber handlebar grip, factory part 97-2142, now superseded by 97-2125.

PN · 97-2142
Superseded by 97-2125.

This is the left hand grip, part number 97-2142, shown in the handlebar and control lever sections of the parts books. It's the rubber that slides over the left end of the handlebar where the clutch lever lives, giving the rider a place to hold on that isn't bare steel tube.

It shows up across a long run of catalog years, so Triumph kept using this same grip on a lot of different handlebar and control setups over time. The factory eventually replaced it with a newer part number, 97-2125, so if you're working from an older parts book and see 97-2142 listed, that's the same physical grip under the current number.

Worth checking your bike's other grip and the bar diameter before ordering, since grips are side-specific and it needs to match what's on the right.
