Left nacelle cover
Left-side cover for the headlamp nacelle on 6T and 3TA/5TA front forks, also listed as H1290.
This is the left-hand nacelle cover, part number 97-1290, which shows up in the fork figures for the 6T and for the 3TA and 5TA. The nacelle is the streamlined shell that sits up top of the front forks and carries the headlamp, speedo, and switches on those models, and the cover pieces are what close it up and give it its shape on each side.

The catalog also lists this part under the older H1290 form, so if you're working from an early parts book or a part pulled off the bike with that stamped on it, know that it's the same piece as 97-1290.
Our records show this one appearing across catalog entries from 1964 to 1966. If you're trying to match up a cover for a nacelle from outside that window, give us a call and we'll help confirm it before you order.
